A new way of doing tourism that allows you to explore, learn and book the world around us through our maps, information and experiences that open the door to a real approach to the city, to the countryside, to an immersion in the community you are visiting. My name is Jairo Cabrera, I have been working in the tourism sector since before I graduated from university, I have also specialised in web development, cartography and I have worked in the hospitality industry all my life.
This project began in 2019 with the aim of distributing physical and online maps, then we looked for a way to reach more people, we love technology and it has allowed us to connect with many. The Internet world was not so important 25 years ago, and today trailforthjournal.com is one of the most visited tourist sites in Ecuador. We receive around 5,000 unique visits per month from: Asia, Oceania, Europe, Ecuador and the rest of the Americas. We love to travel and share our experiences with others. We love to know different places, cultures and ways of life that come together in harmony in our country.
We know that being a tourist is not the same as being a traveller. That is why we are committed to the concept of being flexible and providing all the comfort offered by a platform that connects travellers with service providers and enriches the experience of those who visit. Free and flexible tours around Ecuador, so that anyone can enjoy authentic and enriching experiences without worrying about spending too much and create tailor-made trips.
We started our activity in 2019 shortly before the pandemic and today we have integrated a larger community, where we have a wider space to spread our culture, natural wealth, creative people, entrepreneurs and, above all, people who want to add that experience where the traveller who travels through Ecuador, falls in love with the country.
